Outdoor Opportunities

What began with three guys on a little 12 acre site in Rostrevor has now grown to incorporate seven large sites, some of which are over 190 acres, across Armagh, Down and Tyrone - Eden Opportunities is now a well established element of our environmental education programme. In alliance with the Health and Social Care Trust, these projects are designed to help all participants develop socially, physically and gain an appreciation of the natural world around us. The activities range from physical activity through conservation projects, working in teams, to building nest boxes and seasonal cooking and gardening. There is a strong work ethic and ethos of looking after ourselves and the world around us.

Winter 2015/16

Floods

After a hectic summer and a very damp autumn, and completing the Challenge projects of boardwalks, ponds, marshes and islands, all the teams have settled down to run of the mill maintenance projects on all the sites. Witner has now firmly taken hold and we're desperately looking for indoor projects as the temperature drops and the waters rise.
